An easy DIY project is finding an old wooden piece of furniture at a thrift store and replying to it to match your home. If you are looking to make your furniture look like a matte pastel color, try using chalk paint. This is perfect if you're trying to go farm or shaggy chic. Remember to sand your wooden chair first, and remove all upholstery before you begin.
Or, you can create more vibrant colors with spray paint. They even make gold and silver sprays at Walmart for as little as $ 3 a can. If you are spraying the paint, bring your belongings outside and wear clothes that you don't mind staining or getting dirty. Smoke is robust and spreads everywhere. You can also cover up newspaper to protect grass, driveway, or porch.
