18. Drawing a birdhouse
Building an aviary from scratch would take over an hour and need some skill from someone who took at least a class of lumbermen in High School. Luckily for you, they sell ready-made bird cages. Then you have to color them with acrylic paint, let them dry, and you're done. After you hang them in your yard, the bird will begin to build nests there and shelter from the rain and cold.
The amount of time spent on this DIY project will depend on your painting skills. Some people want to go above and beyond to provide their birdhouse with small accessories like welcome signs, garden tools, and even a front porch. You can find these in places like Michael's Crafts and Hobby Lobby and fitted with hot glue guns.
