26. Mason Jar Snow Globe
Almost everyone enjoys a right old fashioned snow globe during the holiday season. These can, however, be very costly if you purchase them from the supermarket, with most costing between $30 and $40. If you want to do this project together with your children, there are plenty of "Make Your Own Snow Globe" kits online, but the ready-made sets are typically intended for kids. If you plan to make gifts for a teacher, making a DIY snow globe with mason jars is inexpensive and eastern.
To see how they create snow globs from mason jars, check out Mashable Watercooler's YouTube video. They chose to use tiny Dr. Who action figures in the video. When you know what your child's teacher likes, this can be perfect. You can opt to keep the water out altogether if you fear this leakage and make a snowy diorama than a typical snow globe.
