Lots of DIY teacher gifts are cute, but in the end, they are still adults. Many of your teachers will probably go home and pour themselves a glass of wine at the end of the day. Most adults appreciate free wine. There are many ideas on DIY labels that say, "Our child may be the reason why you drink." This is hilarious if you know that your child can be a little one. A cheaper alternative to this gift idea is to make a mason jar with a can of soft drink and a small bottle of wine.
Of course, keep in mind that underage kids may not be able to bring alcohol to school! This gift is best if you can meet the teacher at a class party and get it to them yourself. Also, call the school to inquire whether bringing alcohol into the building violates school policy. If it is forbidden, you may have to rethink the gift and give it to a friend instead.
