18. Behind the Stairs, A Desk
We discussed using the room under your basement staircase for storage in the last entry. Transforming it into a desk nook is another incredibly innovative concept. It is excellent for someone who doesn't have space in one of the upstairs bedrooms for a home office, and they want to put their iMac elsewhere.
A basement office can also be beneficial because it would most definitely be quiet relative to the rest of the building. And they would love sitting at a desk much more than sitting at your kitchen table doing their homework if you have girls. You might theoretically complete a job like this for a desk you already own. This should only cost a couple of hundred dollars if you want to configure it entirely.
