18. The Harry Potter Theater by Dave and Ruby Dunlop
Grandparents also appear to pamper their kids rather than their parents. After all, they have expended all their life savings on retirement, and now is the time to have fun with their little ones. This is precisely what Dave and Ruby Dunlop decided to do when they built a Harry Potter themed playhouse in their backyard. Dunlop's granddaughter, Logan, is the oldest child to date, so she's the first to like the playhouse, including Platform 9 ¾, a Hogwarts tower, and more. Inside the playhouse, they created a giant fake fireplace, and there were witch brooms ready to ride.
This was built by Charmed Playhouses, based in Alberta, Canada. The total cost of the project is $ 250,000, obviously huge, considering that you can buy a real home for that money! According to Dunlops, they felt that it was worth every penny. Their niece, Logan, immediately wants to see her home whenever she comes to visit. Friends and neighbors were very impressed, and they often asked permission to take pictures and look inside.
